Job Purpose/Role 

At AGCS our Finance department has an in-depth understanding of the business to deliver a best-in-class finance service. We are a divers and international team working in close collaboration with other departments to drive profitability. 


As part of the Finance Solutions team, you will serve as Finance Business Data Steward and drive for improved data quality across AGCS by consistent data definitions and reference data mappings. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and delivery of strategic projects within AGCS and you identify and propose development and implementation of best practices respectively harmonizing of processes in your area of responsibility. 


Working in Finance Solutions enables you to participate in various projects and initiatives to broaden your expertise and knowledge. You have the opportunity to liaise with nearly all departments within AGCS, with the internal IT provider and the Finance function of Allianz Group as well as with internal and external auditors.



In this role you will…

•    Serve as Finance Business Data Steward and drive for improved data quality for AGCS by consistent data
definitions and reference data mappings, in line with the needs of the Finance stakeholders
•    Represent Finance in the community of Business Data Stewards and align relevant data aspects with stakeholders from Finance, other AGCS areas (like Operations, Claims or IT) and Allianz Group
•    Further develop financial applications / architecture and process landscape in close collaboration with other Finance teams and IT / Business Transformation, in an agile release train
•    Support the execution of the Closing process, Planning process and Payment processing by coordinating and monitoring associated activities on issue identification and resolution 
•    Harmonize, document and implement Finance related processes and work on change initiatives and solutions development
•    Review audit findings that relate to the financial applications and processes, identify possible courses of action to address the findings, and implement in collaboration with involved stakeholders steps to mitigate
•    Work in a global, highly dynamic environment both in a team and independently                            


To be successful in the role:


You will have….
•    Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, 
Accounting or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
•    Profund knowledge of Technical Accounting in a P&C insurance company with a good understanding of adjunct Finance areas like Actuarial or Global Performance Steering
•    Advanced understanding of data flows (from front-/mid office system to the General Ledger) with regards to financial reporting and closing, particularly in the area of business data mappings (e.g. for General Ledger dimensions)
•    Good communication skills and the ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders incl. Senior Management
•    Professional experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environment, demonstrating the ability to deal with complex stakeholder structures and conflicting requirements
•    Analytical thinking and numeracy with the ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex data and processes to rapidly provide insight in various situations


Ideally you will also have…


•    Experience in an agile set up as business expert or (certified) Product Owner
•    Experience/knowledge of IFRS 17
•    Experience in data analysis with standards like MS-Access or SQL
•    Verbal/written command in German
