From FIM to AllianzGI career – Your Path

Hear from scholars and scholarship alumni about their personal experiences and the ways they have benefitted from an Allianz Global Investors sponsored scholarship.

  • Meet Isabella – current scholar

Intern at the Enterprise Data Office, Allianz Global Investors

“As a single mother of two very young children, receiving the scholarship has significantly alleviated my financial burden, allowing me to prioritize my studies and strive for academic excellence without the added strain from having to juggle work and studies. My internship placement provided invaluable firsthand experience in asset management. This opportunity accelerated my professional growth, offering exposure and expanding my network far beyond what I would have achieved otherwise.”

  • Meet Tim – scholarship alumnus

Head of risklab, Allianz Global Investors

“Maybe even more than the financial support, which together with my student job funded my studies, experiencing Allianz Global Investors from “the inside” was an invaluable benefit. With mentors at different levels of seniority we always had a sparring partner who was accessible and eager to help. I had the possibility to get to know the company during two internships, and coincidentally, today I am leading the function where I did my first internship.”

  • Meet Hantao – scholarship alumnus

Investment Manager, Allianz Investment Management SE

“Visiting the Allianz Campus was definitely the most memorable moment during my scholarship. Allianz was initially a remote concept to me: Fortune Global 500, the largest insurance company in Germany. The visit to the Allianz office has brought the company and the colleagues closer to us as students, who did not have direct engagement with Allianz then. Besides, as the scholarship was honored to students with different backgrounds, I took the opportunity to exchange a lot of ideas with the other students, which was as valuable as the financial support per se.”

  • Meet Steffen – scholarship alumnus

Chief Data and Technology Officer, Allianz Global Investors

"Starting my first business already during high school, I also juggled business ownership alongside studies in Finance and Information Management (FIM). Receiving the FIM scholarship was an honor, granting me both financial support and invaluable mentorship from an Allianz Global Investors executive. Through internships in Munich and New York, I savored the sense of belonging within a successful global organization. My advice to future scholars? Immerse yourself, network diligently, and leverage your strengths. Be honest and authentic."
