We are looking for a Compliance Governance Specialist (m/f/d), based in Paris.
 
Your Team 
This team ensures that all practices, policies and business activities of the French and other European (including Spanish) branches fall within the bounds of the relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The team members are very good technicians that also understand the business environment in which Allianz evolves. Last but not least, there is a strong team spirit and collaboration with other countries and regions.

The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Legal & Compliance Europe South, you will drive the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of global, regional and local Compliance programs and procedures; drives the adjustment of global procedures to regional and local requirements and the design of local procedures where relevant; coordinates compliance reviews and internal/external audits within the Region; monitors issues arising and develops action plans and remediation measures together with the relevant stakeholders.                                        

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Develop, implement, and maintain AML and internal control policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements for France;
• Provide guidance and support to business units in both France and Spain (possibly other European countries) regarding compliance matters, including AML regulations and internal control best practices;
• Implement and maintain Compliance programs and procedures within the Region, in coordination with the Regional Head of L&C Europe South and AGCS Global Compliance. Monitor issues arising and develop action plans together with the relevant stakeholders.
• Act as main coordinating contact for compliance audit related requests for the Med Region. Handle compliance investigations within the Med Region. 
• Support, coordinate and follow up on compliance reviews conducted on entities in the Region. Ensure that compliance reviews related enquiries are handled appropriately and support business in understanding Compliance program related requirements.
• Prepare and maintain reporting on Compliance programs for the Region, in coordination with the Regional Head of L&C Europe South and AGCS Global Compliance.
• Drive the process of instilling the compliance culture as best practice within the business, ensuring that Allianz as a whole appreciates the role of Compliance and supports it fully.
• Contribute to legal and regulatory change monitoring process, overseeing timely implementation to meet new regulatory requirements, providing regular updates to Global Compliance, and supporting other functions in RLCM and Baselining.      

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Completed studies in law, ideally with a focus on Compliance
• English: Business fluent
• At least 3 years of professional experience in industrial insurance or a law firm, ideally with knowledge in the described areas of responsibility
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements
• Ability to take initiative and resolve problems with a high degree of autonomy
• Excellent interpersonal, strong communication and presentation skills, ideally with training experience
• Client service mentality
• Ability to accept responsibility for a wide range of divergent tasks and activities across a broad range, producing coherent decisions and results    
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
