Who will you be joining?


The P&C Center of Competence (CoC) within Group Risk ensures excellence in P&C risk management and risk modelling for the Allianz Group and subsidiaries.


The CoC is the business partner to enhance best practice P&C risk and accumulation management across the Allianz Group. It owns and is subject matter expert of the PC Underwriting risk model as well as the PC Cat accumulation management framework. Tasks include getting insight into the Allianz Group PC UW risk capital drivers, giving guidance to the entities of the Group as well as developing best practices, guidelines, governance and support for P&C Cat accumulation management and the internal and standard risk capital model.


 

How can you make an impact?

 

You will:

  • Be responsible for parts of the PC underwriting risk model under Solvency II (Internal and specifically standard model). 
  • Stay abreast of market practice, drive innovation in your area and communicate, support and provide guidance to Allianz subsidiaries as well as other Group functions.
  • Develop risk modelling methods, trainings as well as facilitating discussions with management, regulators/ auditors.
  • Be responsible for selected subsidiaries, oversee and validate their PC underwriting risk model, related closing activities and accumulations. 
  • Support Cat risk limit reporting and drive accumulation management in the area of Terror risk management. 
  • Lead and contribute to projects where expertise from various areas and countries are brought together.

 

 

What are you made of?

 

  • Master’s degree in actuarial, finance, mathematics, statistics or equivalent 
  • Actuarial degree is a plus 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience, preferably in actuarial, risk or underwriting
  • Fluency in business English (written and spoken) is mandatory 
  • Good understanding of PC business and the related risks 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with accumulation management and Solvency II knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of simulation software is a plus (e.g. Igloo, ResQ) 
  • You are motivated and have excellent analytical and communication skills plus the ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • You are willing to take responsibility in your area of expertise 
  • You are interested to learn in the heart of an international group
