Institutional Business Development 

This exciting role is to support the UK institutional business in growing its client base, NCF, AUM and RRR. The primary focus is on a panel of Local and Global Pension Fund Consultants and Pension Fund clients and reports directly to the Head of UK Distribution.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • To develop and enhance new and existing relationships with UK Pension Fund clients and their Consultants (research and client), in order to meet the team’s NCF, AUM and revenue targets
  • Own a panel of clients and consultants and work collaboratively with distribution colleagues and investment professionals to deliver against targets
  • Contribute to business intelligence on the competive landscape and market practice
  • Contribute to product development ideas to enhance our UK capablities
  • Coordinate the response to RFPs and collaborating with the business to ensure high quality submissions
  • Help to enhance presentation materials to help shape messaging to the UK market

 

Experience &  Skills

 

  • Extensive asset management experience within an institutional business development environment or within an investment consultancy environment
  • Good existing network of contacts in the UK institutional market (asset owners, field consultants, independents etc)
  • Experienced of attending external meetings and pitches (Prospect, Clients, Consultants and other stakeholders)
  • Track record of business development
  • Understanding of the asset management value chain
  • Understanding how to position capabilities/products commercially
  • Experience of promoting technical investment strategies/products

  • Good organisational/time management skills, able to prioritise workload
