As a Technology Strategist, you are responsible for shaping and driving our global technology strategy and strategic architecture of core business platforms, contributing to our vision as a technology-driven insurer. Influencing the overarching way we at Allianz do global business, you will be closely working with technology experts, IT architects, business sponsors and product owners.

You will:

• Contribute to defining the technology vision and strategy for Allianz Group and assume responsibility for the definition of principles, standards, and technologies that support the implementation of that strategy.
• Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to translate business requirements into the technological vision, and to ensure Allianz develops the capabilities to enable the business
• Act as principal Enterprise Architect for selected core business platforms, and closely work with solution architecture and delivery teams to ensure strategic alignment of design and development.
• Create heatmaps, roadmaps, and KPIs to prioritize and to structure Allianz' technology transformation.
• Conduct research and analysis as well as coordinate case studies and pilots around prospective technologies in order to trial new capabilities as defined in the technology roadmap.
• Prepare and deliver architecture and technology briefings, including presentations, talks and white papers
• Work across the company to drive adoption of technical standards, design principles, and architecture methodologies
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other architects and engineers
• Travel for meetings, technical reviews, and other onsite activities

Your skills:

• At least 10-15 years of relevant working experience in platform architecture, strategic andsolution IT architecture, IT strategy, or platform delivery
• Ms or Phd degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Demonstrated experience in a technology strategy, IT strategy or similar role within a largeenterprise environment or consulting engagement, preferably with exposure todevelopment of technology strategy, architecture principles and policies, and roadmaps
• Demonstrated business and technology transformation experience across a wide range ofindustries and organizations
• Excellent proficiency in overarching product or platform architecture, preferably throughEnterprise Architecture or solution architecture experience in a large-scale platform orproduct context
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills targeted at a diverse audience,with an emphasis on the ability to influence effectively with internal and externalstakeholders
• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with technologies, methodologies, andsolutions in the technology and IT architecture space, and communicate to technical andnon-technical audiences
• Work experience in a highly diverse, international environment
• Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims,Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, ProductDevelopment, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
