The Risk Management function of Allianz Technology is composed of the areas Enterprise Risk Management, Operational/IT-Risk Management and Third-Party-Risk-Management.

As the Operational Risk Management Senior, you will be responsible for the Integrated Risk & Control System (IRCS) implementation at Allianz Technology SE, its branches and subsidiaries in compliance with Group’s and regulatory requirements. You will be the key coordinator of AZ TEC assurance program and responsible for the delivery of assurance reports to customers.

Further, you will support the Risk Management function in driving key operational risk initiatives, innovation and ad-hoc projects as well as maintaining strong relationships and collaboration with IT and business functions across both business segments Allianz Technology, Allianz Services and Allianz Group center functions.

The role is based in Barcelona and will be directly report to the Head of Risk & Control of Allianz Technology SE. You will join a diverse team with a strong support from off-shore experts.

 

You will

 

  • Oversight and support the Integrated Risk & Control System (IRCS) lifecycle on a global scale including all risk domains and all lifecycle steps, such as Scoping, Risk & Control Assessment, Control Documentation, Quality Assurance, Control Testing and Assurance Reporting to customers.
  • Oversight the AZ TEC assurance program including the coordination of external/internal audits and 2nd line of defense testing of internal controls’ effectiveness and the delivery of assurance reports such as the Control Assurance Report and ISAE 3402
  • Represent the Risk Management function as a key stakeholder and collaborate with other safeguarding functions in managing the IT-Risk Management/Asset Risk Assurance process for critical IT services.
  • Maintain and further develop the IRCS Policy as well as underlying standards and procedures in compliance with Group guidance and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare the management reporting to the Risk Committee, Board and Supervisory Board as well as Group center
  • Provide support and subject matter expertise on operational IT risk initiatives to provide efficient and simplified solutions for an effective management of the internal control system
  • Coordination of near- and off-shore capacities with the Global Support team
  • Establish and maintain good relationships and strong collaboration with stakeholders in business IT functions, Risk Officers and other safeguarding functions (Information Security Officer, Protection & Resilience etc.) and customers
  • Support the Risk Management function by providing guidance and sharing knowhow including best practices through knowledge documents, periodic ad-hoc trainings and learning sessions
  • Active role in the roll out of projects like NFRM, IRM@ServiceNow
  • Build awareness and educate the 1st line of the role they have to play

 

 

 

Your skills 

  • 10+ years of professional experience in different areas of operational and IT risk management, ideally on the background of an IT service provider and across the risk categories: operational risk, IT risk, project risk, third-party/outsourcing risk, business risk
  • University degree (Business Informatics, Business Administration, Business Mathematics) or equivalent qualification
  • Recognized professional designations in Information Risk Management, Project Management, Operational Risk Management, Audit Service (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CFA, FRM) are a plus
  • Capability to build collaborative working relationships and ability to work in virtual and international teams; International experience is a plus
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills; Capability to develop solutions based on a strong technical argumentation and an excellent balance between risk and return
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to balance between independent oversight and business-partner thinking
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory environment and international standards for service provider in the finance sector (MaGo, VA-IT, COSO, COBIT, ISAE, IAASB, ISO)
  • Reliable, highly committed and precisely working combined with solution-oriented intellectual power
  • Language: Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Self-directed working approach with the ability to work self-responsible and autonomously, also in times with high pressure and with the flexibility to combine recurrent task-oriented work with project-oriented working style
  • Excellent ability to understand complex issues, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing) and at the same time to reduce complexity
