The ITCo Office is one of the governance sections of the Group Chief Operation Officer (Group COO) that acts as a global steering function for IT investments/ strategic Group initiatives. In your role as ITCo Office Manager, you will be actively supporting the decision making for large IT investments (projects / contracts) through the close involvement in the preparation process of the quarterly IT Committee (ITCo), which is a Management Board Committee. The ITCo Office Manager is responsible to give guidance to the OEs/Project teams during the ITCo preparation phase and is also involved in the regular monitoring of the projects (ITCo Project Status Reporting). You are particularly involved in steering the end-to-end process of the quarterly ITCo meeting and prepare documents for all report outs to other key stakeholders and meetings. Your mission in the role will be:

  • Ensuring that the ITCo process works end-to-end
  • Providing guidance, advice, and support on content to OE/project team and internal topic owners for ITCo topics. Also conduct deep dive on financials and challenge Business Cases submitted to ITCo Office
  • Manage and monitor the regular quarterly ITCo Status Reporting for all projects in ITCo monitoring scope
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient collaboration between different stakeholders involved in the end-to-end process for ITCo on OE side, Allianz Technology and AZ Group side
  • Responsible to pro-actively conduct lessons learned and simplification measures to improve quality and keep the process lean

 

 

What will make you succeed in this position?

  • Exceptional academic background in IT, Economics or Business Administration (diploma or master’s degree)
  • Good understanding of Operations and IT and their interrelation with business
  • Advanced understanding of:financial and operational steering, KPIs and impacts, corporate governance principles
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry with proven experience of international project management within large and complex IT projects (system implementation/integration programs, IT transformation)
  • Understanding of corporate contract managementrequirements along the Procurement / Supplier value chain is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional & management experience in big financial institutions and/or IT consulting (IT Management, Governance & Steering, IT Operating and Organization models)
  •  Affinity for financials, strong analytical skills, and pragmatic thinking
  • Strong process-oriented capabilities
  • Ability to get up to speed on complex strategic and operational topics and to consolidate and evaluate large amounts of information, accuracy in working on key strategic issues
  • Storyboarding skills and ability to provide guidance in shaping content for Board-level presentations
  • Experience in challenging of business cases, deep understanding of cost and benefits drivers of IT project/ programs.
  • Strong communication, moderation, negotiation, mediation and diplomatic skills, ability to work with different cultures and manage numerous interfaces, confidence in dealing with Top Executives and CxO level.
  • Entrepreneurial can-do attitude and drive with out-of-the-box-thinking focus on quality execution and delivery of task, result-oriented, customer-focused, pro-active, flexible, and energetic team player with ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize, to take decisions and to organize
