IT Delivery Lead

Allianz Technology is building a new internal insurance platform at global scale.

The Head of IT Delivery will be responsible for leading and managing the IT delivery function within the organization for a specific business domain. This role will involve overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, a deep understanding of technology used in Allianz and best practices, and a proven track record of driving successful IT delivery within complex organizations.

You will 

• Lead and manage the IT delivery function, including project managers, developers, and other IT professionals in multiple locations.
• Implement existing IT delivery processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure delivery on time, budget and quality projects or services in Allianz Tech.
• Identify and promote improvement actions either in the solution or in the way of working or workspace of the assigned teams.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
• Actively management of the dependencies within other areas either on IT or business level to ensure delivery milestone accomplishment.
• Collaborate, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, helping them to grow and develop in their roles.

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven relevant professional experience of at least five (5) years in the delivery of complex projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably in the area of insurance or banking services.
• Proven knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and tools, particularly in agile methodologies and frameworks like Kanban, Scrum and SAFe and tools like JIRA and confluence.
• Strong technical knowledge in one or more of the following languages is essential: Java, Kotlin, Typescript and in architecture approaches (microservices, serverless, etc.)
• Strong drafting and communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Excellent stakeholder management combined with strong communication skills to create a collaborative and calm environment.
• Professional experience in a multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical thinking to break down issues or decisions into manageable pieces.
• A highly motivated team player and an expert in managing conflicts and priorities.
• Experience in working with remote teams in a global, multicultural environment.
• Knowledge and experience in data analytics is a plus.
• Strongly result-oriented profile.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
