Enterprise Technology Architecture

The Enterprise Technology Architect specializing in Infrastructure is responsible for designing, evolving, and maintaining the organization's infrastructure architecture to support strategic objectives and operational needs. This role emphasizes modern hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure approaches while ensuring alignment with end-to-end enterprise architecture principles. Candidates for this position will have deep technical expertise, a proven track record of hands-on experience, and the ability to communicate infrastructure’s role in enabling business outcomes effectively. It will be ideal if the candidate has proven track record of country/regional/global cloud modernization initiatives.

The Enterprise Technology Architect will collaborate across IT, business units, and senior leadership to develop and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures that reflect the organization’s priorities and the latest industry trends.

You Will:

Strategic Planning and Alignment:

• Develop and maintain the organization’s modern infrastructure architecture framework.
• Align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives, focusing on hybrid and cloud-native solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Architecture Design and Implementation:

• Develop roadmaps for cloud, technology transformation initiatives and target architectures in collaboration with delivery teams.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions that support cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Leverage expertise in public cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure solutions to provide actionable insights on infrastructure optimization and modernization.

Policy and Standards Development:

• Create and enforce policies, standards, and procedures that align with industry and regulatory requirements.
• Develop best practices for managing infrastructure within hybrid and cloud environments.
• Promote compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Partner with IT, business units, and external vendors to integrate infrastructure solutions into the broader enterprise architecture.
• Mentor teams and provide thought leadership on infrastructure best practices.
• Articulate infrastructure strategy and value to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay informed on evolving trends, innovations, and best practices in cloud, hybrid, and traditional infrastructure domains.
• Regularly assess and improve infrastructure architecture to ensure agility and resiliency.
• Participate in audits and architecture reviews to validate the robustness and compliance of implemented solutions.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-8 years in infrastructure-related roles, with at least 3 years in an enterprise architecture role. Proven ability to connect infrastructure to broader enterprise architecture domains and business objectives.

Technical Proficiency:

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and equivalents) and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Network protocols, architectures, and technologies, including virtual networking, SDWAN (e.g., VeloCloud), Edge networking, VPN, Virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Security principles, including IAM and infrastructure security controls.
• Observability stacks such as Dynatrace, Grafana, and IT service management tools like CMDB.

Certifications:

• Ideal to have relevant credentials such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other recognized certifications. A demonstrated history of staying current through certifications and professional development is essential.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields; a Master’s degree is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to build trust and influence stakeholders.

Compliance Knowledge:

• Familiarity with infrastructure-related regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

Adaptability:

• Ability to navigate rapidly evolving technologies and business priorities, driving value through infrastructure solutions.
