    The Principal Business Analytics Consultant is responsible for ensuring that the Consumer Protection, Strategy and CAO Communications department is achieving impacts from reporting and analytics. The Principal Business Analytics Consultant will direct, develop, and execute reporting and data analytics for the department. Operate as an internal consultant by leveraging data analytics to improve business unit performance and enhance our customer protection programs. Complete analysis of data relating to business processes, consumers, competitors, producers, and the organization. Make recommendations and execute/support system or process changes to improve risk management across all channels and identify opportunities to optimize business results. Create and implement tools and technology as needed to further the analytics program and support business initiatives. Partner with leaders to share and enhance analytics across organization. Possess advanced math and technical skills including concepts used in data science as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Data Analytics: Analyze new and existing data to understand, interpret, and communicate data relevant to the department and other business units. Provide analysis to identify trends, gaps, potential risks, and make strategic recommendations to improve business unit performance/improve how business units use data and enhance current processes. Find and execute new ways to leverage analytics to drive business performance. Provide strategic consulting projects related to Strategy, Consumer Protection and SQM.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~Consumer Protection: Leverage data skills to seek and deploy improvements to Consumer Protection programs. Data owner responsible for a detailed knowledge of Consumer Protection processes along with the data elements that drive these processes. Facilitate analysis of Consumer Protection processes to ensure proper risk management. ~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~Design and implement reporting on an ongoing or ad hoc basis to support business needs.     Minimum Requirements:~crlf~* 6-7 years experience required: Experience in report modeling, data analysis, trending, and interpretation.~crlf~Insurance knowledge and experience is helpful. ~crlf~Analytical experience Industry related experience is desired.~crlf~~crlf~Education:~crlf~~crlf~* Four-year degree required: Degree in mathematics/statistics, economics, business, computer science, or related field. High analytical knowledge, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, and drive. Active knowledge of MS Office and other business applications. Knowledge of analytical and database applications such as R, COGNOS, SQL, Tableau, etc. is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create and give executive-level presentations/recommendations~crlf~* Advanced degree preferred
