Motor Bodily Injury Claims Handler
As the trusted insurance partner to over 500,000 customers across the island of Ireland, Allianz plc has built a local and global brand based on trust, integrity and outstanding customer service for over one hundred years.~crlf~~crlf~As a Bodily Injury (BI) Claims Handler you will work as part of an expert team of handlers to proactively handle/manage injury claims from notification through to settlement.~crlf~~crlf~You will set accurate reserves and manage claims in line with best practice guidelines, regulatory requirements and agreed SLA’s and also create strong working relationships with our direct and broker customers and our Allianz colleagues.
• Handling a portfolio of bodily injury claims from notification to settlement in accordance with Allianz standard procedures~crlf~• Proactively manage claims while demonstrating exceptional customer service at all times, to both internal & external customers ~crlf~• Taking the necessary steps to interpret and establish policy cover ~crlf~• Determining liability through desktop investigation and the instruction of external resources ~crlf~• Evaluating Allianz's potential financial exposure on an on-going basis to ensure that each claim is adequately reserved ~crlf~• Identifying, investigating and escalating potentially fraudulent claims to our Claims Fraud unit~crlf~• Negotiating settlement of claims directly with claimants and/or solicitors ~crlf~• Attending trials and consultations at Court Venues~crlf~• Preparing files, client presentations, and attending claims review meetings as required in accordance with our Claims Portfolio Management client review programme~crlf~• Managing Service Providers to achieve best possible claim outcomes ~crlf~
Essential ~crlf~• CIP qualified ~crlf~• A minimum of 3 years general insurance experience~crlf~• A minimum of 1 year personal injury experience ~crlf~• Claims handling experience~crlf~~crlf~Desirable~crlf~• Personal injury claims handling experience – strong preference for exposure to motor personal injury~crlf~• A relevant third level qualification ~crlf~• Experience of having served as an escalation point in respect of technical queries ~crlf~• Experience in dealing with customer complaints~crlf~• Designing and documenting processes and procedures~crlf~• Involvement in project work within a corporate environment~crlf~• Training experience~crlf~• Familiarity with I/90 and paperless work delivery systems ~crlf~
