Credit Control Supervisor
Responsible for the ongoing management of a team of accounting professionals in the area of Receivables Management Customer Service, including the leadership of the team, working with IT to ensure business requirements are met, developing workflows, training new staff, working with business partners to ensure that customer needs are met, and managing a team with metrics.
##Motivate, challenge, and develop your team (Receivables Management Customer Service) by promoting a collaborative and innovative culture. Encourage and assist staff in their performance and development through individual operational targets, metrics against service level agreements, formal / informal training programs, etc.~crlf~~crlf~##Responsible for appropriate management reporting and day to day workflow management. This will include creation, review, and reporting report against metrics, agreed service levels, and / or targets, while effectively managing these metrics, agreed service levels, and / or targets within the team.~crlf~~crlf~##Harmonize policies, procedures, and processes across all companies and lines of business. Ensure strong controllership by maintaining compliance and proper accounting controls, including but not limited to PCI and ICOFR. Identify and recommend modifications to existing workflows or resource allocations.~crlf~~crlf~##Be a cross-functional liaison with your business partners both internal and external (may include Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Brokers and other Finance staff) on issues related specifically to Customer Service and work with the Receivables Management Team to ensure that the needs of all business partners are being met throughout the department.~crlf~~crlf~##Ensure that all IFRS and Statutory accounting related to your area are accurate and timely. ~crlf~~crlf~##Ensure that the customer service team is setting the market standard of excellence in all touch points with both internal and external customers. Other project work and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.~crlf~~crlf~
##Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or comparable degree preferred or qualified by experience in related discipline ~crlf~##Minimum 1 - 3 years - Related business experience, ideally in commercial insurance~crlf~##Minimum 1 - 3 years - Knowledge of business systems such as GG, SAP / EIM, GetPaid~crlf~~crlf~##Minimum 1 - 3 years - Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Minimum 1 - 3 years - Experience working for an international organization, preferred~crlf~##Managing a team, a plus~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Knowledge of business systems such as GG, SAP / EIM, GetPaid~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Experience working for an international organization, preferred~crlf~~crlf~##Solid computer literacy, with proficiency in MS365 (Excel, MS Forms, MS Teams, etc.)~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Accounting technical knowledge to accurately record accounting transactions~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Agile management and principles~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Understanding insurance financial statements and their performance measurement incl. Drivers~crlf~~crlf~##Ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows~crlf~~crlf~##Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ablility to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situation~crlf~##Problem Solving Ability: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation~crlf~~crlf~##Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of ~crlf~~crlf~##Demonstrable leadership competencies including ability to collaborate with others, adapt to change and accept challenging assignments~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~##Project management: Ability to manage projects (milestone and task planning, managing resources, project controlling, monitoring, and reporting, moderation techniques) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~
