Job Purpose/Role 


The IT Service Management Lead is playing a crucial role in the future IT set-up of AGCS with a global captive IT Service Provider (Allianz Technology) for all IT Services and will have the opportunity to shape this relationship from the beginning.


The role  is in charge of globally orchestrating the steering, oversight and governance of  the overall service delivery by the captive provider with the aim to: 

  • ensure AGCS business requirements and SLAs are met
  • all applicable legal and regulatory regulations (in all jurisdictions) are adhered to
  • all applicable AZ Group rules are adhered to 
  • risks with respect to the outsourcing relation are being controlled and properly managed. 


He/she is particularly in charge of overseeing the governance and steering of the Change -, Problem – and Incident Management processes as well as Capacity & Availability management, Service Request management and control of Backup Arrangements.



In this role you will…


•    Orchestrating the steering, oversight and governance of  the overall service delivery by the service provider in close cooperation with the other functions in the AGCS Retained IT Organisation.
•    Continuously driving to improve efficiency and effectiveness in policies and processes between the  IT Service Management in the AGCS Retained IT Organisation and the provider in close alignment with all stakeholders. Agreeing, setting-up and monitoring (agile) productivity KPIs to support the improvement process.
•    Act as counterpart to Production Manager role on service provider side 
to ensure operational stability and cooperatively overseeing the governance of Change, Problem and Incident management processes in the AGCS Retained IT Organization.
•    Ensure compliance of the service delivery processes with all applicable legal, regulatory and Allianz Group requirements in close cooperation with IT Risk & Compliance and other functions of the Retained IT Organisation.
•    In close cooperation with IT Economics Manager and Financial Controlling assess cost effectiveness of service delivery with the help of SLAs, KPIs and benchmarks. Develop optimization and saving measures in cooperation with service provider and the other functions in the Retained Organisation.

To be successful in the role:


You will have…


•    At least 8 - 10 years of experience in IT, IT Financial Management in Financial Services 
•    Broad experience and knowledge in IT Service Management or IT Management in a complex and international environment.
•    Sound knowledge of ITIL framework (certification) and the ability to apply this knowledge in the working environment.
•    Good knowledge and experience in managing Change-, Problem- and Incident Management Processes. 
•    Strong communication skills from working level to C-level.
•    Strong analytical capability to work in a highly complex technical and organisational environment combined with a strong call to action. 
•    Strong ability to create productive working relationships across departments on a peer-to-peer level. 
•    Financial Services / Insurance background and/or having worked in a large-scale outsourcing context are of benefit. 
•    Fluent English skills
