Fund Audit Specialist (f/m/d)

Location: Senningerberg, Luxembourg 

 

As Fund Audit Specialist you will be responsible for the coordination of the whole financial statement production and audit process for our Alternative fund range. You will liaise with many internal and external parties, such as Fund Accountant and Auditors and work in an international environment with the opportunity to support the project of Global Harmonization of such processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of financial statement preparation process for Lux. Alternative Funds in collaboration with internal and external parties.
  • Oversight of whole financial statement production and audit process for Lux. domiciled AIF incl. Coordination with auditors, fund accountants and other service providers according to agreed timetable
  • Administration of financial statement related information and answering ad-hoc requests from clients and internal parties
  • Coordination of audit process and support in affiliating processes such as Engagement Letters, Representation Letters and audit fee negotiations
  • Implementation of new regulatory requirements affecting audit and reporting processes for Alternative Funds in collaboration with auditors and other in- or external parties
  • Involvement in NPI processes in terms of new Alternative Structures
  • Drive improvement and automatization initiatives for such processes
  • Support of financial statement preparation and audit process in other countries such as Germany, Italy, France, UK, HK and SG and contribute to the project of Global Harmonization of such processes
  • Ensure ongoing Status Updates and Dashboards for Management and involved parties

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience:

  • Good understanding of processes in the asset management business especially in the Alternative sector
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • High commitment, motivation and willingness to take on responsibility
  • The ability to work independently as well as the ability to work flexibly in a team environment and to think out of the box
  • Several years of working experience either in Asset Management or Audit; experiences in Fund Accounting would be beneficial                           Deep knowledge of MS Office products, especially MS Excel
  • Affinity to figures; careful, structured and reliable method of operation
  • Knowledge of asset management regulations and related requirements in terms of Regulatory Documents
  • Strong analytical skills with high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail  
  • Studies in business administration or financial sector 
  • Language: fluent in English, other languages such as French and German are beneficial
  • Project management skills
