We are looking for an Underwriting Specialist - Entertainment. This role will be based in our New York or Burbank office.

We also provide coverage for photographers and videographers rounding out comprehensive coverage options for a majority of production accounts.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Head of North America Entertainment, this position will take prime responsibility for underwriting profitable new and renewal business to meet the Entertainment line of business targets regionally including global elements. In addition, own large accounts/clients including negotiation of participation, pricing and terms and conditions, while developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Underwriting new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets (local and/or regional). Negotiating participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers.
- Underwriting in line with LoB governance framework – e.g., Underwriting authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles while ensuring utilization of global pricing tools.
- Ensuring accurate policy documentation issued to producers.
- Contribute to development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy.
- Training, developing, and coaching less experienced staff.
- Proactively support acquisition of new business, retention of existing business, and proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including MMC, ARC, Claims, Operations, Risk Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring to the Role –
We'd like to find someone with a minimum 5 years’ proven track record in underwriting profitable entertainment business, demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at the peer group level and established within the market. A good understanding of regional/location Entertainment Insurance markets and competitor landscape with preferably a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management or Business Administration. Completion of a professional insurance qualification.
Using your outstanding relationship building and networking skills, you'll enjoy creating a community of experts and collaborating with our Lines of Business on innovative products and services to drive our Entertainment agenda. The annualized base pay range for this role is $101, 560 to $181,828. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AGCS total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
