The Internal Auditor acts as accepted advisor to the business with in-depth knowledge auditing investment topics. The role is about to advise managers and their departments and add value to the business by identifying business risks at an early stage and helping  them to improve the controls. In addition to providing the audit results to auditees, the Internal Auditor also proposes recommendations to close findings, writes audit reports, supports closing meetings and checks - in the follow-up process - if the recommendations were implemented. The Internal Auditor participates as a specialist in audits, in cooperation with the team and aligned with the Audit Manager and Practice Head.  

Strong technical and ethical characteristics are fundamental to success. Independent from the job level, the Internal Auditor should maintain appropriate technical skills as well as agility and a commitment to continuous learning. The ability to see the bigger picture is important for each audit. Good auditors therefore focus on targeted questions which allow them to verify information from different angles.




-    Design and maintain audit work programs for core Life/Health insurance processes (e.g. Product Development, Actuarial Pricing, Underwriting,  Portfolio Steering)
-    Interact and collaborate  with internal auditors in  Allianz internal audit departments worldwide.
-    Support other audit practices as needed.
-    Generate feasible recommendations for improvement of organizations and processes based upon audit activities (including a focus on quant models).
-    Explicitly and precisely communicate deficiencies and recommendations for remediation.
-    Follow-up  on audit recommendations and communicate with responsible parties.




-    Strong academic background (e.g. Quantitative subjects, Economics, Business Administration, Law).
-    Actuarial Degree, CFA, FRM, Actuarial Degree is a plus.
-    Fluent in English; fluency in other languages is a plus.
-    3+ years of experience in the Financial Service Industry (Audit Firm, Insurance, Banking, Investments, Asset Management).
-    Capacity to quickly comprehend, analyze, challenge and make recommendations.
-    Ability to adequately express (verbally and in writing) and to accept feedback.
-    Ability to work in flexible teams and to establish a constructive working climate.
-    Strong communication and intercultural skills.
-    Intellectual curiosity and readiness to travel.
