Within PIMCO Prime Real Estate, the global Valuation Team is responsible for the appraisal of all real estate investments and coordinates the selection and commissioning of external valuers as well as the acceptance and reporting of the market values. Integrated in the Portfolio department, the team provides comprehensive support to Allianz's internal clients and supports our third-party client activities with sound valuation know-how. The interdisciplinary cooperation with Transaction and Asset Management as well as Finance results in a varied and exciting daily project routine in the context of one of the largest international real estate managers with diverse development and career opportunities.

 

The Valuation Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for steering the valuation process for a dedicted portfolio within Europe and supports the Head of Valuation as well as the top management in the decision-making process and the approval of external valuations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Independent responsibility for all valuation topics of an assigned international sub-portfolio vis-à-vis external appraisers as well as internal stakeholders
  • Supporting commercial real estate transactions in Europe with regard to their valuations
  • Reviewing of external real estate appraisals to ensure a market-adequate valuation in accordance with internal and market standards, rules and best practises
  • Regular quantitative analysis of European country markets in close cooperation with our research department to assess real estate markets and properties
  • Modelling of quantitative scenario and sensitivity analyses to forecast the valuation result and to assess related risks 
  • Acting as the valuation expert for the dedicated portfolio for Allianz internal as well as external clients
  • Actively communicating valuation results to internal and external stakeholders and prepare appropriate presentations in the context of market value assessment, workflow design and senior management reporting

 

Key Requirements

  • University degree in business administration with a real estate or valuation-specific focus.
  • More than 5 years of relevant professional experience in real estate valuations especially gained by working as a real estate appraiser (RICS qualification is highly appreciated) 
  • Sound and in-depth knowledge of real estate and capital markets, as well as experienced application of international and national valuation procedures
  • Enthusiasm for real estate markets and valuation-relevant capital market topics as well as enjoyment of working in an international context 
  • Experience in international project management as well as interest in trending topics such as digitalisation and sustainability in real estate valuation
  • Decision-making ability coupled with a resilient, conscientious and flexible personality
  • Independent and self-reliant working style as a team player with integrity
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Active and interdisciplinary communication skills across management levels and national borders, which you have already been able to use profitably in comparable positions
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; other language skills (e.g. German or French) will be an advantage
