Who will you join?

 

Within Allianz SE, Group Risk (GR) is in charge of managing risks to bolster Allianz's financial strength and to support value-focused company leadership. Group Risk is responsible for monitoring, managing and reporting on the Group's overall risk profile. In this context, the Independent Validation Unit is the central global validation function, being responsible for independently validating internal models across many risk types in the context of Solvency II.


In your role as a validator, you support the Independent Validation Unit team with validating models and coordinating the group-wide major model change process with our Operating entities. You will also support the communication to regulators.

 

How can you make an impact?

 

You will:

  • Support Allianz with continuously improving the Internal Model and ensuring compliance with SII regulation
  • Validate models by applying statistical analysis with focus on Credit Risk. Knowledge on other risk types like e.g. OpRisk or Market Risk is a plus
  • Present validation results to senior management and make proposals for improvement
  • Manage the major model change process in close alignment with senior management and supervisory authorities
  • Be close contact to Model Owners and Internal Model entities world-wide

 

What are you made of?

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in risk modelling in context of Solvency II insurance or Basel II/III banking regulation
  • Completed masters in finance, mathematics, physics or in related fields.
  • Fluent in English and ideally also in German
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.) and statistical analysis tools/programming (e.g. R, Python)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid technical proficiency 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An actuarial qualification would be a plus
  • Additional other languages would be a plus
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
