Who will you be joining?

This role is based in Munich in the Allianz SE Solo Operations, IT and Organization department. As part of Allianz Re’s Data Office team, your mission will be to facilitate insights and informed business decisions based on reliable data. You will play an active role in realizing the global data strategy of Allianz Re and the wider Allianz organization. This role offers a highly interesting, engaging, and varied cross-functional and international work environment, allowing you to utilize your data and advanced analytics capabilities to explore diverse aspects of (re-)insurance.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

• Model the financial data landscape and data flows in compliance with the accounting standards (IFRS17, HGB, MVBS) and business requirements from technical accounting and actuarial departments 
• Act as a consultant for diverse stakeholders in finance and business to create data consumption assets such as reports, dashboards, and (advanced) analytics
• Contribute to projects (e.g. SimpliFi) and lead transformation processes
• Specify change requirements and oversee implementation, coordinate testing, productive rollout, and provide training
• Collaborate with and guide our offshore development team
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and process automation
• Perform data quality assessments and ad-hoc analysis

What are you made of?

• Minimum 5 years of work experience
• University degree or similar tertiary education, ideally in (financial) mathematics, statistics/data science, business economics with a focus on finance, or a related subject
• Excellent understanding of finance-related concepts, actuarial/accounting knowledge for Life and PC insurance
• Sound technical expertise with data modelling and reporting tools like Power BI, SAS, MicroStrategy, SQL, Python 
• Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.
