Who will you be joining?


Allianz SE has entered a long term partnership in order to enhance customer engagement and growth agenda initiatives. The responsibility of the partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Family sits within the Group Strategy, Marketing and Distribution Team. The partnership has the three core objectives to a) drive employee engagement, b) build the brand, c) drive commercial business. The partnership runs between 2021-2028 and after the success of the Paris2024 Games in all pillars we are looking for a Commercial Manager to manage and expand successful business model blueprints, innovate new business development ideas and ensure optimization of the value that can be generated for Allianz and our key stakeholders through the partnership ecosystem.

 

The Commercial Manager works within the ‘Sales& distribution ’ pillar of the IOC/IPC Partnership focused on enhancing Allianz as the Insurer of the Sports Ecosystem. The worldwide scope of the partnership aims to establish opportunities for all local, regional and global insurance and reinsurance Operating Entities (OEs) and Assistance (ancillary insurance related services) of the Allianz Group in both Life & Health and Property & Casualty segments. As a key leader in the Sales and Business Development team, the role includes execution focused activities collaborating with OE and Global Lines and Group Centres  to maximise the business uplift impact of the partnership in the defined commercial model of the Sports Ecosystem.         


 

How can you make an impact?

 

You will:

  • Continuously evolve the sales strategy, target setting within sports ecosystem with Business Divisions, OEs and global lines for monetisation of the IOC partnership. Identify, establish and nurture commercial opportunities of the IOC Partnership
  • Implement & execute jointly with external stakeholder and Oes business initiatives such as  the Games Insurance Program, Sales Incentives Programs and lead generation cases
  • Develop simple & scalable business practices to drive sales in the local markets across different distribution areas and lines of business. Contribute to growth priorities and work in cross unit teams
  • Manage & report on relevant local & and global business KPIs for the partnership. Sales data analysis, preparation of content and presentations
  • Internal and external stakeholder management. Build and maintain trusted relationships with IOC Supply representatives, sports federations, Olympic bodies and positively represent and influence Allianz interests
  • Drive innovation and facilitate change via strategy execution within the Sports Ecosystem segments within Allianz Group
  • Work closely with Italian and US entities as well as global lines on Milano Cortina 2026 and LA 2028 Games

 

 

What are you made of?

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong retail and commercial insurance business acumen 
  • Knowledge in distribution channels and sales community building
  • Demonstrated sales outcomes in competitive business environment, with in depth knowledge of different insurance markets
  • Ability to navigate in complex environments and manage internal and extern stakeholders
  • Analytic thinker with demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Customer oriented, excellent natural interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to navigate a change environment with internal and external customers managing conflicting priorities of various parties
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Business / Finance / Economics and/or professional insurance qualification
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant job experience in the financial services / insurance industry experience in different lines of business 
  • Experience in project management, operations and budget 
  • Business fluency in English, French or German are of advantage
