Job Purpose/Role

 

In this role you will build, transform, maintain and run the transaction processing of our Enterprise Information Management in SAP Hana XSA according to the Features requirement and design guidelines.  As an interface between the platform specialist and the development teams, you will contribute to implement and run a stable and performant application. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of the related part of application from technical design, development, automated testing, deployment (CI/CD) and production support. These tasks can be done in line organization work or in projects.     

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • As part of a development team, contribute to the definition (grooming) of the technical solution to fulfil the prioritized business requirement
  • Program new functionalities or apps or maintain existing functionalities for transaction processing and/or Datawarehouse components according to the business requirements. In close collaboration with our platform team, you participate to the definition and run of the platform and contribute to a performant and stable application landscape.
  • Support the DevOps Engineer in the implementation of the full DevOps solution by defining test cases and providing qualified technical information for the definition of deployments/automation pipelines
  • Develop and define a wide range of documentation, for example presentations, technical designs, functional specifications, system requirements, etc as required
  • Maintain documentation on a regular basis and be accountable for the quality and completeness
  • Communicate (and/or train as necessary) on documentation content
  • Investigate IT procedures, standards and/or guidelines (including AGCS as well as Group IT standards)
  • Evaluate existing systems/ processes when required   
  • Conduct analysis on whether IT policies/standards are being followed, follow up and apply in cases where necessary, Report to IT management on results
  • Perform peer reviews for the code quality and ensure the compliance to all standards and guidelines for software programming when required        
  • Proactively work and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (within IT, the business, strategic vendors / outsource partners, among others) to deliver consultancy and service. To coordinate with other functions as necessary

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experiences

 

  • Advanced development capabilities in Native Hana XSA 2.x (SQL, Node.js, Calculation views)
  • Experience in Performance tuning in the SAP Hana XSA Context
  • Analytical skills    
  • 3-5 years IT Professional experience in Datawarehouse area, ideally in the financial services sector
  • Bachelor/Master degree in related field is required, preferably in IT, mathematics or Engineering
  • Professional level of English

 

Ideally you will also have…

 

  • Good knowledge in SAP Hana XSA 2.x Administration
  • Experience in working with a CI/CD tool chain (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Tosca, Nexus or similar)
  • Good team-work skills
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment, ideally with SAFe Framework.    
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders (Business analysts, feature and product owner)
  • Experience of working internationally with regional teams across numerous location
