Job description/Role
The Centre of Competence for Life & Health (CLH) is the nexus for strategy and technical excellence for the Allianz Group’s Life & Health businesses. A key focus of the Allianz Group is the growth of its retirement business, with CLH being mandated by the Group’s management board to drive towards this strategic objective.
As a Senior Retirement Product Development Expert, you will be at the forefront of retirement product innovation with Allianz. You will help drive the launch of new retirement solutions across our global OEs (Operating Entities), whilst simultaneously deepening your expertise in the latest retirement solutions from other product manufacturers and markets.


Key Responsibilities

•    Support Allianz OEs in the development of new retirement products by recommending new, innovative solutions or enhancing existing product features
•    Execute the pricing and profit testing of more sophisticated retirement solutions in conjunction with local OE actuaries to accelerate the roll-out of these products
•    Optimize product performance (e.g. customer value, capital management) by collaborating with Allianz’s internal investment management and reinsurance arms to identify potential solutions
•    Ensure retirement products are developed in line with the Allianz Group’s profit and risk targets by evaluating the enhancements or new launches of products from OEs
•    Evaluate and develop improved methods for the management of longevity risk (e.g. product management levers, modelling techniques, reinsurance) across the Group
•    Establish yourself as a recognized expert in the Allianz Group for retirement solutions by keeping up to date with the latest product innovations from other players and markets across the globe


Required Qualifications & Experiences
•    Degree in actuarial science or related fields 
•    Qualified actuary certification (e.g. FSA, MAAA, FIA, FFA)
•    7+ years of actuarial and product development experience, particularly with sophisticated retirement products (e.g. variable annuities / fixed indexed annuities, tontines, GMXB features)
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and actuarial software (e.g. RiskAgility, MoSes, Prophet)
•    Communication skills to discuss product insights and results between technical and non-technical audiences
•    Expertise in Solvency 2 is a plus
