In line with our Global strategy and purpose, we have an opportunity to join the UK Transformation Programme as a Business Analyst on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract, helping to shape and implement the target operating model for our Commercial business.

 

Our ambition is to transform the End-to-End experience and journey for our policyholders, intermediaries, internal users and other parties, through a combination of modernising core systems, data-led digital asset development and integrations (internal and external).

About the Role 

 

The purpose of the role is to enable organisational change by using specialised business analysis, change management skills and a disciplined business analysis approach. You will be supporting the Transformation Programme to articulate the need for change, by defining requirements and recommending solutions that will maximise the value delivered by the business to its customers.
 

You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business and IT to contribute to the delivery of a varied portfolio of work, whilst building effective relationships across all levels.  

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Supporting the scoping of change initiatives required for the Transformation Programme,  working within the Business Analysis Framework

  • Working with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation to elicit, define and manage business requirements, ensuring clear end to end traceability.

  • Ensuring requirements are fully understood and approved by stakeholders, supporting Change Control and prioritisation.  

  • Supporting the development, systems testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of solutions by working closely with solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders.

  • Learning from experiences and understanding how benefits have been delivered by participating in retrospectives, lessons learned and knowledge share sessions.

 

About You

  • You'll be passionate about the BA role and have worked on several change projects, utilising Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • You'll have solid experience creating Epics and User Stories using Confluence and Jira

  • You'll have a good understanding of Use Cases, Value Streams  and Personas 

  • You can apply recognised industry standard modelling techniques including data modelling and BPMN.

  • You'll have a good understanding of Business Change support activities

  • You'll have great stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • You'll have experience working in a Financial Services environment, particularly General Insurance is desirable, but not essential

  • You'll have an agile mindset, with a flexible and adaptable approach to delivering against business priorities.

 Qualifications:

  • A Level education or equivalent 

  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent (Desirable)
