We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Compliance Officer (f/m/d) to provide dedicated Investment Advisory Compliance support to the Illiquid Alternatives division. The position is based in our Frankfurt office.

This is a great moment to join our team as we are further extending our full advisory service within the Alternatives division.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Illiquid Alternatives Investment teams to understand their businesses, in order to provide complete compliance oversight and to advise on the application of law and regulation
  • Provide day-to-day compliance advice to illiquid Alternatives Investment teams on all regulation and compliance aspects. This will involve a wide and open-ended range of issues including, among other things (i) advising on the compliance elements of the investment process, (ii) advising on the launch of new strategies, funds and mandates, (iii) advising on the rollout of division-wide initiatives
  • Assess and advise on the adequacy of policies, procedures and the Level 1 controls of each Alternative Investment team, maintain Level 2 oversight, monitor and advise on adequate governance
  • Respond to critical issues from the central compliance functions and advise and facilitate their engagement with the Illiquid Alternatives Investment teams
  • Provide compliance trainings to the Illiquid Alternatives Investment teams
  • Work closely with Alternatives Legal and Alternatives Risk Management to provide a robust and aligned Second Line of Defence for the Illiquid Alternatives division


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • University Degree, preferably in Law, Economics or related field of study
  • Ideally at least 2+ years of relevant professional experience in the asset management industry. Experience within private equity, private credit and/or other illiquid alternatives products and strategies is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing alternative products and vehicles, including funds and related portfolio investments
  • Proficiency in English
  • Willing to work in an environment where day-to-day interactions will be partially with team members and internal clients located in offices located in other countries
  • Proven ability to initiate and drive projects to completion and to handle senior management relations as well as internal partners
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to take direction as well as take initiative and get things done under pressure and tight deadlines, while providing complete transparency to managers and other team members
  • Ambition and drive for personal development and keen to learn and to develop knowledge by self-study and by using daily tasks as opportunities for self-improvement
