We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented (Senior) IFRS Accountant (f/m/d) for our Accounting & Financial Management / Global Closing & Reporting department. The position is based in our Frankfurt office.

 

Within this exciting role you will be part of a thriving international closing team in an agile environment offering plenty of opportunities to develop technically and personally.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking over accountability for selected accounting processes by actively driving further standardization and increasing the levels of outsourcing and automation
  • Supervising the timely and accurate offshore preparation of monthly IFRS financial statements centrally and for all company codes and branches of AllianzGI, including group reporting in SAP
  • Preparing additional reporting information/uploading files (Country-by-Country Reporting, Financial Reporting Questionnaires, Tax reporting) for all company codes and branches of AllianzGI
  • Performing validation and controlling checks of closing related IFRS postings performed by our service provider
  • Acting as liaison and representative of AllianzGI and the Accounting & Financial Management function with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and other Allianz entities
  • Providing support to the successful roll-out of global and regional change initiatives/ projects, particularly driving the global standardization and harmonization of IFRS closing & reporting processes

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study, Certified Public Accountant preferred
  • Ideally 6+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Detailed knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable financial laws and regulations
  • Strong technology skills especially with SAP and Power BI as well as strong Excel modelling skills
  • Highly analytical, diligent, detail oriented and strong business sense - phenomenal attention to detail and ability to interpret sophisticated, large data sets and communicate findings in easy-to-understand narratives and tables
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, multifaceted, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment, effective multi-tasking skills are therefore vital
  • Proactivity in addressing problems and making continuous operational improvements
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Experience with offshore shared service centers is a plus
