We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Senior Compliance Officer (f/m/d) to support our Business & Regulatory Compliance function. The position is based in our Frankfurt office. 

 

The European Business & Regulatory Compliance team is part of the Global Legal & Compliance & Risk Department. The team ensures that our business is in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will report directly to the European Head of Business & Regulatory Compliance.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage compliance, regulatory and reputational risks for Allianz Global Investors’ business in Europe and globally
  • Implement regulatory requirements for Allianz Global Investors’ business in Europe in order to establish a robust risk and regulatory framework
  • Regularly assess procedures, practices and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks. Ensure the associated polices remain relevant and up to date and are disseminated effectively
  • Manage projects on European and global level
  • Act as counterpart for internal and external partners, including regulators and industry bodies
  • Liaise with auditors, internal and external (such as the WpHG audit)
  • Participate in various initiatives with colleagues in other locations, regional and global
  • Work collaboratively on various business as usual control activities

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • University Degree, preferably in Law, Economics or related field of study 
  • Ideally 5+ years compliance experience in the financial industry, preferable with an international asset management firm
  • Excellent knowledge of the European regulatory environment (for example AIFMD, UCITS and MiFID)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgement
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • A great teammate with the ability to build positive relationships 
  • Committed to contributing to a strong compliance culture within Allianz Global Investors and adhere to its values
  • Excellent command of English and German is a must. French or an additional language would be an advantage
