• Aligns with the product owner and agile team members to understand the business requirements for insurance solutions.~crlf~• Together with the team, creates a common understanding of the business requirements and design a technical solution that follows our best practices.~crlf~• Understands the target domain of our applications – the insurance domain and the business and technical context of our customers.~crlf~• Designs and implements Java 8 applications, based on the Eclipse RCP framework.~crlf~• Builds CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins. Deploys applications using Ansible.~crlf~• Correctly utilizes extension patterns offered by our ABS development framework, to customize, replace and extend existing ABS functionalities.~crlf~• Implements standardized APIs that allow for a flexible integration of various external systems with our applications.~crlf~• Creates unit tests for our applications, backed by a mocking framework.~crlf~~crlf~

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar qualification.~crlf~• Full working proficiency in English (B2/FCE or over). Knowledge of German is an advantage. ~crlf~• Willingness to travel a little across Europe.~crlf~• Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Patterns concepts: Encapsulation, inheritance vs. Delegation, access operators, simple design patterns (GoF).~crlf~• Solid knowledge on basic Linux commands: vi, grep, sudo, netstat etc.~crlf~• At least 8 years of overall software development experience, working closely to:~crlf~- Java 7+, and Junit.~crlf~- REST APIs, JAX-RS and Postman (or akin tools).~crlf~- GIT/SVN and Jenkins.~crlf~~crlf~Nice to have: ~crlf~- Experience with Eclipse RCP as the base framework of Applications, not just as IDE.~crlf~- Container tools: Docker and Kubernetes/Openshift.~crlf~- Performance tuning: Practical work done with different profiling Tools such as JProfile, Dynatrace etc.~crlf~~crlf~
