Senior Model Risk Management Analyst

The Model Risk Management Analyst Senior is a highly technical role that will focus on model validation for the hedging platform. This role will work in close partnership with internal business partners to develop model validation plans, perform model validation activities, and coordinate the resolution of the validation activities and assess any applicable model governance. This role will operate with minimal oversight and guidance within a team and requires significant discretion and decision making ability.

• Perform model validations, challenging the appropriateness of assumptions, models and modeling processes, and results~crlf~• Develop/update model validation programs to be used for each model validation, review findings from the programs, develop/track remediation plans and work with teams to ensure that the items are being addressed~crlf~• Ensure activities and results are documented~crlf~• Assess the organization’s model risk governance, recommend changes as needed~crlf~• Maintain the model inventory and assist with the annual model validation report~crlf~• Coordinate model validation plan activities with any impacted Allianz Group entity, work with members of the model risk management team to organize work and move projects forward

• Required:~crlf~o 5+ years: Strong quantitative skills, experience developing, using, or validating financial models~crlf~o 4 year degree: Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related technical or business field~crlf~~crlf~• Preferred:~crlf~o Advanced degree or certification: Masters in related finance or applied mathematics field or Associate in the Society of Actuaries. Further related education can compensate for less experience.~crlf~o Experience with options pricing, valuation, risk management~crlf~o Programming with (or related): C#, R/Mathematica/MatLab, Database/SQL
