  • Key Responsibilities

    Support Underwriting Strategy~crlf~##Participate in the development and execution of AGCS zonal Underwriting strategy ~crlf~##Work closely with Market Management colleagues in the delivery and execution of all marketing and cross sell initiatives~crlf~Market Management~crlf~##Proactively support acquisition of new business and negotiate the retention of renewal business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary)~crlf~Underwrite Profitable Business~crlf~##Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line goals~crlf~##Appropriately document decisions made on all new and renewal accounts ~crlf~##Effectively negotiate price, terms and conditions for assigned book of business~crlf~##Proactively manage CAT capacity ~crlf~Relationship Management~crlf~##Represent AGCS in a positive fashion for all external engagements~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. risk managers)

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##Bachelor Degree: Preferably in Business Administration (Risk Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics) ~crlf~##Completion of professional insurance designations (e.g. CIC, CPCU) ~crlf~##Minimum of five to seven years of experience with proven track record in building and maintaining a profitable book of business~crlf~##Thorough understanding of all lines of business and specific products to be sold and negotiated ~crlf~##Thorough understanding of competitor landscape, legal environment, etc. ~crlf~##Portfolio Management: effectively manage assigned portfolio and anticipate trends and changes necessary to achieve sustained profitability~crlf~##Analytical Skills: ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources and make independent judgments in accordance with AGCS underwriting philosophy ~crlf~##Influencing skills: ability to persuade and influence others in a professional and productive fashion
