  • Job Purpose/ Role

    In an evolving and challenging environment, the importance of managing risks and ensuring that controls are in place to comprehensivly mitigate them is paramount. The candidate will support the Risk and Capital Management Team (Finance department) of Euler Hermes in its daily activities, and will get to use skills to efficiently report and analyze key control defficiencies impacting the company:~crlf~~crlf~- Ensure results are in line with EH and Allianz expectations~crlf~- Identify best practices and ideas for process improvements

  • Key Responsibilities

    Contribute on various projects within the team: ~crlf~- Participate in the identification and documentation of key controls for the company, based on workshops with related departments (HR, Finance, Asset Management, etc), on information available on the Intranet, on external best practices, etc. ~crlf~- Create dashboard to compile data from various sources in an easy-to-read format~crlf~- Collaborate with different departments and regions (Europe South, Europe North, APAC, Americas, etc.) ~crlf~~crlf~Perform key control testing on risks related to operations: ~crlf~- Ensure that given controls are effectively performed~crlf~- Collect all relevant documentation and proof of implementation on key controls to be tested, based on regular interactions with other departments~crlf~- Give opinion on the effectiveness of the controls in place

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    - Bachelor or Master student (business school or university), majoring in Finance, Audit, Accounting or in the insurance business~crlf~- Proficient in MS office applications and high proficiency in MS Excel~crlf~- Rigorous and detailed oriented ~crlf~- Fluent in English ~crlf~- Excellent analytical skills ~crlf~- Team player, good interpersonal skills ~crlf~- Past experience in finance, risks management, audit, etc. ~crlf~- Past experience in the insurance sector is a plus. ~crlf~~crlf~Internship for 6 months from August/September 2019
