  • Job Purpose/ Role

    BI and Big Data(BIBD) is the central unit at AZ Technology for all analytical platforms, which support the transformation of the Allianz Group into a digital company for BI and Analytics. The Data Management Services team as part of BIBD is responsible for the architecture, engineering and 3rd level support of BI an DWH database platforms.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Define, implement and maintain the IT architecture target picture to accelerate Allianz' future strategy and opportunities ~crlf~##Define IT architecture design methodologies and coordinate between all involved experts ~crlf~##Design and govern the ProstgreSQL platform architecture including design, installation, upgrade, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL databases with large amounts of data (Terabytes)~crlf~##Support and implementation of the Allianz risk and compliance requirements~crlf~##Coordinate the knowledge transfer to our 2nd level team in Trivandrum and be part of the 3rd level support team~crlf~##Recommend and implement best practices for performance, maintainability and development of PostgreSQL BI/DWH databases including partitioning, indexing, materialized view strategy~crlf~##Plan and execute database migrations

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##Higher education degree in IT or comparable technical education~crlf~##Understanding of IT strategy and IT architecture management~crlf~##Knowledge of relevant products, services, platforms and components including cloud (AWS, Azure) and container platforms~crlf~##5+ years PostgreSQL experience including troubleshooting~crlf~##Experience with databases deployments in cloud and (Docker) containers~crlf~##Ability to work fully independent and solve complex problems or situations based on multiple sources of information~crlf~##Role model character with talent to drive new ideas and take new perspectives to challenge existing solutions
