The position is organizationally located in the corporate actuarial team of Allianz Re, head-quartered in Munich, Germany; its main focus position is to play an integrated role in the global actuarial function of Allianz Re, while being a local contact for corporate actuarial matters relating directly to the legal entity Allianz Re Dublin dac.~crlf~ ~crlf~The position will report to the Head of Actuarial Function of Allianz Re Dublin dac.
Key Responsibilities / Opportunities~crlf~##Reserving of Allianz Re globally, with special focus on the Dublin legal entity~crlf~##Regular business trips to Munich, e.g. around quarter closes, are essential~crlf~##Active participation in developing / streamlining the future global reserving process~crlf~##Significant contribution to delivery of Solvency II and IFRS reporting requirements, internal and statutory~crlf~##Support the embedding of the Allianz Group One.Finance initiative (e.g. IFRS 17) into the reserving processes~crlf~##Contribution to delivery of all documentation requirements, both internal and statutory~crlf~##Provide support, as required, to the Risk Management function~crlf~##Any other actuarial tasks as required~crlf~ ~crlf~Experience~crlf~##Three or more years of actuarial experience in the reinsurance or insurance industry~crlf~##Significant experience in reserving a global and multi-line book of non-life business~crlf~~crlf~
Skillset Required~crlf~##Actuarial qualification (SAI, IFoA, DAV or similar/eligible to equivalence) completed or close to completed~crlf~##Thorough understanding of the Solvency II regulatory framework~crlf~##Deep understanding of standard non-life reserving techniques~crlf~##Understanding and ability to explain technical, actuarial content (e.g. risk modelling) to local management~crlf~##Desire to learn new skills and to be adaptable and creative~crlf~##Strong analytical skills~crlf~##Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with professionals and management across the business, in particular in the context of a global team~crlf~##Aptitude to handle data and affinity to IT~crlf~##Ability to work in the detail, while keeping a high-level overview~crlf~##Expert knowledge of standard office applications such as MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Access), good knowledge of VBA~crlf~##Knowledge and understanding of reinsurance products~crlf~ ~crlf~Skillset Desired~crlf~##Thorough understanding of the IFRS 17 standard and / or experience in an IFRS 17 project environment~crlf~##SAS programming skills~crlf~##Experience with standard reserving software such as ResQ~crlf~~crlf~
