Accounting & Reporting Manager

The Manager of Accounting and Reporting assists in coordinating and improving the monthly close process for all U.S. group companies, ensuring general ledger activity is in compliance with company policies under US GAAP, IFRS, and NAIC statutory reporting standards, and ensuring that controls over financial reporting are operating effectively throughout the period.

##Regular, predictable, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.~crlf~##Assist in coordination of monthly and quarterly financial results to parent company and respond to inquiries.~crlf~##Lead monthly general ledger closing process, including review of journal entries and identification of process improvements.~crlf~##Monitor internal control over financial reporting and identify opportunities for improvements to controls.~crlf~##Develop and deploy accounting solutions to new transactions and contracts with customers under US GAAP, IFRS, and NAIC Statutory accounting standards.~crlf~##Assist in periodic financial statement preparation, distribution, and analysis of account fluctuations and performance against KPIs.~crlf~##Provide support to internal and external audit efforts, including assistance with regulatory comment letters.~crlf~##Serve as a mentor by providing coaching, training, and career development opportunities to senior and staff accounting and finance associates.~crlf~##May perform other duties as assigned.~crlf~~crlf~

##Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.~crlf~##Combined Five (5) years general accounting, reporting and/or public audit experience.~crlf~##Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.~crlf~##Experience in the insurance/service industry preferred.~crlf~~crlf~

Travel Requirements: Position may be expected to travel 5% of time.
