  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Under limited supervision, works with business partners, key stakeholders, and management to identify, translate and provide consultation on business opportunities that result in improved controls and business results across all areas of the organization. Coordinates and facilitates medium to large-scale initiatives focused on mitigating risk by recommending improvements to processes/procedures and increasing general knowledge of controls within the company. Assesses risks, identifies and evaluates controls to ensure legal, regulatory and group requirements are upheld and risks are controlled. May assist more senior analysts with complex initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities

    - Identify and evaluate risks within business processes~crlf~- Facilitate risk assessment, walkthroughs and control identification workshops~crlf~- Draft test programs to effectively test the design and operational effectiveness of the system of internal controls~crlf~- Identify and communicate issues~crlf~- Present analysis and recommendations for improvement of the internal control environment to key stakeholders, including senior and executive management~crlf~- Collaborate with management on the development of action plans to ensure risks are mitigated appropriately~crlf~- Perform issue follow-up and escalation as appropriate~crlf~- Prepares reporting for senior management, boards and group.~crlf~- Assist on projects related to other risk functions

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    - 4-5 years experience required: Professional experience in audit, risk management, compliance or financial services; basic understanding of IFRS/GAAP/Statutory accounting guidance as well as internal controls~crlf~- 6-7 years experience preferred: Public accounting or internal audit experience; Insurance experience; CPA, CIA, or MBA~crlf~~crlf~- Four-year degree required: Business Administration,Accounting, Finance or Risk Management
