Assists the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) in evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of the system of internal controls throughout the Company, and in setting, coordinating and implementing the strategic direction of the department. Establishes operational objectives and assignments, and delegates assignments to managers and other members of the team. Provides coaching, mentorship and performance management to team members, leading the development and growth of the team to facilitate their success. Creates and maintains relationships with customers and networks with external organizations (such as the IIA) and other companies to secure knowledge and perspective on internal audit practices within the industry. Strong understanding of Enterprise Operations, Information Technology and the organization as a whole.

• Assist the CAE on overall leadership of the Internal Audit Division~crlf~• Coordinate key reporting activities, including compilation of the Audit Committee materials, Group Audit Reporting, etc.~crlf~• Provide oversight of Risk Assessment, annual planning activities and plan completion in Enterprise Operations and Information Technology areas~crlf~• Manage and lead their direct reports within the Division~crlf~• Serve as the key contact between the key business leadership and internal audit~crlf~• Support effective remediation activities for key risk exposures and audit findings~crlf~• Ensure compliance with Group, Internal Audit and IIA Standards and processes~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~

Education: Four year degree required ~crlf~• 8-10 years required in Audit or Insurance Industry experience or related. A portion of this experience in Operations and/or Information Technology; 4+ years in supervision or management preferred for Audit Director and current proven leadership and management experience required for Sr. Director role. ~crlf~• 11+ years preferred in Audit or Insurance Industry experience or related~crlf~• CIA, CISA, CPA or actuarial exams (or equivalent certification based on need)~crlf~• Strong risk and control acumen and business knowledge~crlf~• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills~crlf~• Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational and networking skills~crlf~• Proven ability to consult with business partners and execute on plans~crlf~~crlf~
