    Supports timely and accurate deliverables of the team/division. Maintains, prepares or coordinates basic to intermediate reports, projects and/or analysis in accordance with IFRS/Statutory principles as well as documented internal controls. Working closely with the Actuarial and Controllers departments, you will prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and report monthly and quarterly financial analysis to management.

  • Key Responsibilities

    - Prepares a variety of standard, periodic reports or analysis of the general ledger with a high degree of accuracy~crlf~- Prepares fundamental journal entries to the financial accounting system (SAP)~crlf~- Coordinates financial transactions with operations that impact other operational systems~crlf~- Responds to inquiries/requests from other areas with little or no supervision~crlf~~crlf~Internal Control Environment:~crlf~Maintains a good understanding of internal control environment including financial procedures and policies as it relates to individual or team processes.~crlf~- Developing ability to identify internal control weaknesses and/or to develop stronger and more efficient controls~crlf~~crlf~Projects:~crlf~- Plays a support role in projects the team participates in (i.e. gathering information, responding to informational requests, etc.)~crlf~- Ability to work on basic to intermediate projects to build knowledge of company, products, industry and/or technical knowledge~crlf~~crlf~Leadership and Communication:~crlf~- Understands and supports the team/division initiatives/goals.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    - Bachelor's degree in Accounting ~crlf~- 0-1 years of experience required; 2-3 preferred ~crlf~- Solid understanding of IFRS/Statutory accounting guidance as well as internal controls~crlf~- Good understanding of general ledger/financial reporting (specifically SAP)~crlf~- Good understanding of all company computer systems including Access/SQL,Essbase.~crlf~- Advanced Excel skills working with data (creating and using pivot tables, filters, sorts, “if/then” statements, “vlookup” formulas, and macros, etc.)~crlf~- Good knowledge of spreadsheets~crlf~- Basic understanding of company products, structure and team/staff.~crlf~- Excellent problem-solving ability. Works independently in resolving inquiries, requests and problems~crlf~- CPA, CMA, of CFA preferred
