Head of Internal Audit

The Head of Internal Audit reports directly to the CEO of Allianz Insurance Singapore and supports the Regional and Global Head of Audit by driving and implementing the global strategic change program for the Audit function of the Allianz Group to ensure a development of the function in line with legal requirements, the renewal agenda and changing business environment. According to regulatory requirements Internal Audit is a "key function" and the position holder is considered a "key function member" in line with the fit and proper policy.

Implementation of Group Audit Policy and Standard:~crlf~- Adopt and implement Group audit policies and standards. ~crlf~- Audit Universe and Planning:~crlf~- Updates the OE Audit universe (list of audit objects) and ensures adequate risk based audit coverage in line with SII requirements. Performs the annual planning and resource allocation to ensure satisfactory coverage of the risk-universe within a 5-year audit cycle.~crlf~~crlf~Execution of the Audit Plan:~crlf~- Perform and manage audits from planning to report issuance. Act as trusted business partner to the executive management team. ~crlf~- Ensure completion of audit assignments to provide independent, objective assurance. ~crlf~~crlf~Reporting:~crlf~- Regular reporting to Regional and Group Audit, Audit Committee (Board of Management) and regulators. ~crlf~- Is responsible for Follow-Up on audit findings and monitor the Follow up status ~crlf~~crlf~Usage of Global Audit Tools:~crlf~- Ensure sufficient, reliable, relevant and useful information to support the engagement results and conclusions. Work shall be evidenced through documented and structured working papers and supported through the use of the global audit tool “TeamMate+”.~crlf~~crlf~Relationship Management:~crlf~- Key counterpart to Group Audit and Regional Internal Audit function. ~crlf~- Interact with external auditors and represent the company towards external stakeholders and regulators. ~crlf~- Intensive exchange with sister functions (Risk, Legal, Compliance) regarding regulatory required alignment of key function processes and reporting as well as to discuss and ensure comprehensivness and completeness of IA risk assessment.~crlf~- Advises management on questions related to the internal control system~crlf~~crlf~

University degree in economics, accounting, business administration, mathematics or equivalent ~crlf~Audit certification (CIA, CFA, CISA) will be an advantage~crlf~8-10 years professional experience gained in external audit/ internal audit or consulting environment~crlf~IT or Actuarial audit skills desirable but not mandatory~crlf~Experience in Insurance, Banking or Service/Assistance industries required~crlf~Proven management skills for audit planning ~crlf~Strong business acumen, consulting skills and understanding of processes from a strategic point of view~crlf~Strong understanding of Audit Methodology and audit concepts~crlf~Ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders (Board of Directors, Senior Management)~crlf~Strong Analytical and Negotiation skills~crlf~Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)~crlf~~crlf~
