Underwriting Technician - Aviation

Provide an effective and efficient service to Brokers/Clients, Underwriting, Claims, Credit Control/Accounting and ARC.

##Develop effective working relationships with Brokers/Underwriting, Credit Control, and Global Business Operations (GBO). ~crlf~##Regular exchange with Underwriter/Broker regarding all account specific matters. ~crlf~##Liaise with underwriting and GBO to drive process improvement and harmonization of operational tasks. ~crlf~##Support underwriting and GBO collaboration via handovers, data and document quality reviews. ~crlf~##Be a single point of contact for the processing Account Technician and Underwriter on any given account.~crlf~##Responsible for supporting underwriting production by reviewing and interpreting source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts/loss history – and if required, interact with Underwriter/Broker in case of missing information. ~crlf~##In case of Allianz multinational programs steering of implementation globally, including providing instructions to all involved SOEs, reconciliation of all issues and addressing questions regarding cover and wording with Underwriter. ~crlf~##Acting as trainer/SME for GBO.~crlf~##Collect and provide relevant information for quotation to Underwriter. ~crlf~##Using or providing all relevant information to accurately and efficiently prepare policy-set up, APT, binder and issuance as well as booking preparation for new and renewed business.~crlf~##Flag potential risks to Underwriter (referrals, sanctions, local compliance, etc.). ~crlf~##Compile or create non-standard policy wordings and align with Underwriter and Brokers. ~crlf~##Preview of revised broker wordings compared to expiring, providing suggestions to UWs.~crlf~##Coordinate AQS requests and complex queries with GBO, credit control, brokers, UW, etc., to support resolution of reconciliation discrepancies. ~crlf~##For multinational programs, reach out to SOEs in coordination with Credit Control to achieve reconciliation of premium payments. ~crlf~##Regular monitoring and follow-up with SOEs on receivables and policy issuance.~crlf~##Collaboratively manage and prioritize workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met. ~crlf~##Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and follow-up of all accounts in the respective responsibility and escalation, if required. ~crlf~##Utilize SNOW tools as required.~crlf~##Amanda validation and updates as required. ~crlf~##Follow up on trailing documentation (signed forms, coinsurance, underlying policies, etc.). ~crlf~##CRN (UW instructions on verbiage and need) and renewal solicitation letters.~crlf~~crlf~

##At least 5 years of experience with Corporate or Specialty Insurance;~crlf~##Previous Aviation Insurance experience and operations background preferred;~crlf~##Account management experience and the ability to coordinate with other functions;~crlf~##Experience working in an cross cultural environment;~crlf~##Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with relevant business applications and systems;~crlf~##Ability to continuously develop technical and systems knowledge, as well as business and insurance understanding;~crlf~##Good understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages;~crlf~##Advanced understanding of policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, and cancellation;~crlf~##Excellent verbal and written communication skills;~crlf~##Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with people at various levels of the organization;~crlf~##Excellent time management and prioritization skills;~crlf~##Ability to motivate others; ~crlf~##Effective team player;~crlf~##Ability to train and coach staff; and~crlf~##Willingness to travel depending on Underwriter assignment (possibly up to 20%).~crlf~~crlf~
