Senior Strategic Controller (m/f/d)
As part of the Strategic Planning & Performance Management Team you will be responsible for driving the corporate strategy and provide outstanding analytics to assess and predict the financial performance of AGCS. The position provides a comprehensive overall picture of the AGCS financials and strategy. You will play a vital role in driving and steering forward looking profitability at AGCS and strategic discussions with the Board of Management and the shareholder Allianz SE.
In this role you will…~crlf~##Drive corporate strategy reviews, i.e. Planning Dialogue and Strategic Dialogue with our shareholder Allianz SE~crlf~##Provide in-depth analytics of AGCS’ financial performance and derive conclusions for financial reporting and forecasting to enable decision-making and forward looking profitability~crlf~##Convey key messages, risks and opportunities as well as recommendations in a compelling way to the AGCS Board of Management and our shareholder Allianz SE~crlf~##Manage the global forecasting process with various stakeholders across the organization~crlf~##Share best-practices, increase efficiencies and set global standards~crlf~##Respond reliably to ad-hoc requests from internal and external customers to support business decisions~crlf~##Participate in projects and implement initiatives as required~crlf~
##Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Masters), preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or qualified by experience in related discipline~crlf~##Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategy consulting and/or the financial services industry, ideally P&C insurance or reinsurance~crlf~##Proven experience in story lining and storytelling as well as preparing C-suite ready presentations~crlf~##Strong analytical skills incl. ability to handle and analyze large amount of data~crlf~##Expertise in areas related to controlling, financial modeling and analysis; basic understanding of actuarial concepts will be helpful~crlf~##Embracing agile working and engage in constant learning, to adapt to internal and external customer needs~crlf~##Preferably experience in using reporting tools (e.g. SAP and SAS Financial Management), basic programming skills and IT know how; ~crlf~##Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in English, to a variety of stakeholders including senior management~crlf~##Comfortable working both in a team and independently, and enjoying working in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~
