Responsible for regulatory processing of monthly, quarterly or annual sale & use tax state filings and Canada HST/GST. Monthly and quarterly journal entries. 1099 processing which includes monthly reviews annual testing of files production processing of 1099s. Full knowledge of W-9 requirements. 1042 withholdings and annual withholding tax filings. Managing an inquiry email box for void checks and inquiries related to status. ##Responsible for all Regulatory Compliance related to Sale & Use Tax and Canadian GST/HST returns and registration for both the US and Canada, and 1099 reporting both testing (pilot) and production. Resolving IRS inquiries and IRS notices to completion ~crlf~##Maintain and manage "Check Inquiry" email box and resolve both email and phone requests~crlf~##Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries timely~crlf~##Assist in process changes and efficiencies~crlf~##Knowledge of outgoing wires and ACH payments to assist with cross training on team a plus~crlf~##Provide customer service to your business partners both internal and external on issues related to your team and areas of responsibility~crlf~##Prepare/analyze monthly expense bookings and re-class journal entries for the North American entities of the AGCS business unit. Review invoices for potential Sale & Use tax charges; file according to each states filing date; complete Canada quarterly HST/GST reconciliation~crlf~##Contribute to department and organizational special projects as assigned by management.~crlf~##Document and update policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility and ensure they are up to date~crlf~~crlf~

##Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Business~crlf~##Knowledge of W-9 and 1099 requirements~crlf~##Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting department with a preference of experience the Insurance Industry but not mandatory; Sale & Use Tax processes~crlf~##Ideal experience, though not required: Canada HST/GST~crlf~##experience in Banking and/or Treasury a plus~crlf~##Knowledge of SAP and Accounts Payable functions~crlf~##Accounting technical knowledge to accurately record payments, re-class bookings and other journal entries~crlf~##Solid computer literacy, with advanced proficiency in MS Office software, e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint~crlf~##Knowledge of IRS 1099 reporting, in addition to Sale & Use Tax filings per state~crlf~##Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team~crlf~##Strong organizational and analytical skills~crlf~~crlf~
