Global UW Product Manager- short-tail Based in London or Munich
Within AGCS we are embarking on an exciting transformation journey with a core focus on Technical Excellence across all Insurance functions with a Global First approach, As a result, Global Product Management is a new function created within NEW AGCS to drive consistent Product Development as well as bringing a focused approach to building enhanced coverage/ wordings best practice across the company. This function will focus on 3 core dimensions to help deliver improvement across AGCS i) helping to drive better consistency via a new AGCS Product Model (via Allianz Product Laboratory) ii) working with UW, Pricing, Portfolio and Claims functions to drive more data/ analytics and drive wordings excellence across all AGCS products iii) and helping enable new insurance UW ecosystems and/ or partnerships working in collaboration with the lines of business and Global Distribution teams.~crlf~ ~crlf~In this newly created role, you will be responsible for proactively supporting the development and execution of the Global Lifecycle Management strategy, proactively supporting the design, development and implementation of new and modified products for Line of Business globally. You will steer and act as an integral part of the GPR team in its core functions of providing governance frame for Lifecycle Mgt. activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, implementing and driving a Product lifecycle governance as well as a wording library. Both of which are x-line and in full compliance with ACM principles to drive wording best practice, product simplification and alignment across different LoBs and regions, as well as innovation and thought leadership.~crlf~ ~crlf~This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team forming part of the wider Technical Excellence community and helping deliver Business Transformation within AGCS.
##Proactively support the development and implementation of AGCS transformation initiatives, in line with AGCS transformation strategy. Contribute to developing a global product strategy and define a product transformation strategy for the product scope within responsibility~crlf~##Proactively drive design, development and implementation of new and modified products to meet relevant LoB needs and strategic plans~crlf~##Design and develop global reference wordings in liaison with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Legal and Compliance)~crlf~##Ensure (in close collaboration with Product Architecture team) that product is embedded in AGCS data model including effective pricing strategies. Focus on long tail business products in line with background and experience, but ability to work cross whole product suite~crlf~##Lead the steering and controlling of the global product portfolio to drive simplification and alignment cross LoB and cross regions~crlf~##Proactively monitor LoB product portfolio and take corrective measures to ensure target achievement as required~crlf~##Drive x-LoB and x-functional collaboration and exchange to ensure product strategy being fully embedded in AGCS strategies and initiatives~crlf~##Proactively analyse relevant markets to identify legal and market developments, client needs and areas for innovation. Communicate product strategy to internal and external stakeholders~crlf~~crlf~
##Preferably Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or comparable discipline~crlf~##At least 7 years’ experience in the international insurance market, be a proven technical expert in a short-tail LoB~crlf~##Comprehensive technical knowledge of LoB products, coverages, underwriting practices, pricing processes and sales distribution channels~crlf~##Proven experience in Contract Drafting and Interpretation: design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings~crlf~##Extensive knowledge of local laws, regulation, and issues relating to industrial insurance products ideally with a legal degree in Continental European country, UK or US~crlf~##Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire, ability to quickly identify guiding principles in complex scenarios~crlf~##Strong understanding requirements of business transformation on product architecture and wordings~crlf~##Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story~crlf~##Fluent in English~crlf~
