  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Through their Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) line of business, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty provides tailored insurance, reinsurance and non-traditional risk management solutions to corporate and financial clients worldwide.~crlf~In this role you will be part of the global ART Underwriting & Portfolio Management team and responsible for price modelling of new transactions and monitoring the development and performance of in-force deals. You will work closely with underwriters on new business opportunities and provide relevant information to Portfolio Management in order to support effective decision making and business steering in the ART line of business.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Develop, maintain and document stochastic deal and portfolio models in the ART line of business.~crlf~##Provide ART Underwriting with actuarial pricing, data analyses, risk modelling, structuring for new business opportunities.~crlf~##Support management with focused quantitative information to help steer the business, in particular with respect to proposed new transactions, renewals and amendments.~crlf~##Be on top of in-force transaction performance and development: Maintain transaction dashboards/tracking sheets with key risk/performance indicators; analyze and explain model results and quarterly movements; support profitability analyses; provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders in ART and in other AGCS areas.~crlf~##Contribute to the development of the ART Underwriting and Portfolio Management processes to ensure that the ever evolving business needs in the ART line of business are addressed, and participate in ad hoc projects lead in the global ART Underwriting & Portfolio Management team.~crlf~##Promote close collaboration and interaction with the various functions in AGCS (Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Claims, Operations, Finance & Accounting etc.) to foster mutual understanding of the risk drivers in the ART portfolio and in individual transactions.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##University degree or professional designation in one of the following areas: Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative field.~crlf~##Ideally fully qualified or nearly qualified Actuary (ART is willing to support candidates through the actuarial exam process).~crlf~##3-5 years of experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry (ideally non-life).~crlf~##Experience in pricing, risk modelling, reserving, actuarial data analysis or financial engineering; finance and accounting know-how is an asset.~crlf~##Understanding of commercial lines insurance or reinsurance products; experience in structuring of transactions is a plus.~crlf~##Excellent analytical thinking and numeracy skills~crlf~##Very good problem solving skills~crlf~##Familiarity with working in cross-functional teams in an international and dynamic corporate environment. ~crlf~##Good communication and presentation skills, as well as ability to influence others.~crlf~##Good command of MS Office suite, Excel/@risk, ReMetrica, RMS, SQL, or Matlab.~crlf~##Fluent in English, German desired~crlf~##Willingness to travel occasionally
