    The Portfolio Steering Expert is responsible for a specific area of expertise, for example a line of business. He/She ensures that work results are reviewed and guides junior colleagues in day-to-day work. He/She is preparing presentations and discussing results of his/her work with local and global management as well as to Group functions.   • Key Responsibilities

    ##Manage & drive forward own area of responsibility or project.~crlf~##Proactively perform product performance and portfolio analyses for assigned business area in collaboration with the respective product function and other cross functional areas including documentation, communication and explanation of results. Pro-actively provide advice to CUO product leaders based on fact, based analyses on business portfolios to influence / optimize AGCS global portfolio mix and profitability.~crlf~##Develop global portfolio management approaches and processes as well as enhance portfolio management models and analyses. Foster best practice sharing of portfolio management approaches across all LoBs.~crlf~##Peer review work from other team members and mentor, provide guidance to junior team members~crlf~##Promote close collaboration and interaction with the various business areas (Group, Underwriting, Market Management, Finance, Claims, etc.) to foster mutual understanding how business developments, UW strategy and other trends impact portfolio management KPIs. Lead cross-functional portfolio steering discussions and exchanges.~crlf~##Keep abreast of leading market practice and drive innovation.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Required Experience~crlf~##Business experience, preferable spanning multiple business areas (Minimum 3 to 5 years)~crlf~##Experience with multiple lines of business and preferably multiple types of business (Minimum 3 to 5 years)~crlf~##Proven experience in communication of results to stakeholders (Minimum 3 to 5 years)~crlf~##Proven experience in international working environment (incl. business trips) (Minimum 1 to 3 years)~crlf~##Proven experience in developing/ enhancing and implementing models / analysis and processes (Minimum 3 to 5 years)~crlf~ ~crlf~Required Education~crlf~##Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master) with quantitative focus or qualified by experience in related discipline.~crlf~##Market degree such as CPCU or A/CII an advantage, Actuarial qualification a plus.~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical Skills~crlf~##Market & Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the AGCS product portfolio and macroeconomic trends.~crlf~##Insurance and Finance know-how (ideally P&C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group combined with a robust understanding of other areas (Underwriting, Claims, Finance, etc) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting.~crlf~##Job specific knowledge with regards to portfolio management approaches and concepts~crlf~##Data analytics: Strong data analysis skills including VBA and SQL skills~crlf~ ~crlf~General Skills~crlf~##Navigating Complexity: Ability to make sense of complex issues; respond to complex/ambiguous situations by identifying & initiating appropriate remediation & follow up.
