  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Prepare and handle all payment (technical & Non-technical) in a timely manner.~crlf~##Work closely with colleagues in local Accounting department and offshore team to ensure the success of Account Payable migration project.~crlf~##Ensure financial records are in compliance with policies and procedures.~crlf~##Monitor cash flow ~crlf~##Proactively handle regular closings and reconciliation of records in systems (e.g. SAP).~crlf~##Strong sense in data quality in Accounting systems and records (e.g. checking for omission and resolving discrepancies).~crlf~##Liaise with project team and Accounting colleagues in the Head Office to share feedback and find solutions to issues.~crlf~##Assist in annual audits by internal and external auditors~crlf~##Any other relevant projects and tasks, as assigned by Team Leader or Department Head.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##At least a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration; or at least 5 years of Accounting-related work experience for non-degree holders. ~crlf~##At least 3 years of prior experience, preferably in insurance industry.~crlf~##Able to work independently and strongly team cooperative sense.~crlf~##Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex data and processes, and find solutions in reconciliation of accounts. ~crlf~##Good communication skills in order to deal with offshore team colleagues in order to resolve issues.~crlf~##Self-starter and highly motivated team player, able to work with ambiguity and solve problems independently.~crlf~##Knowledge of the local (HK SAR) legal and regulatory framework for accounting, particularly for the insurance industry (e.g. GAAP, IAS/IFRS, Tax).~crlf~##Fluency in working with MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word; knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP would also be an advantage.~crlf~##Locally recognized professional qualification related to Accounting (e.g. CPA, ACCA) would be ideal, but not mandatory.~crlf~##Fluency in English is required, on top of local language requirements. ~crlf~##Fresh graduates looking for a career start in a global insurance company are welcome to apply.
