  • Job Purpose/ Role

    At AGCS our Finance department have an in-depth understanding of the business to deliver best-in-class finance service. They work in close collaboration with other departments to steer their business in the direction of profitability. ~crlf~As a member of the Mediterranean Regional Executive Management Team and reporting directly to the Head of Global Finance Operations you will lead and oversee the HUB Med Finance Operations and Controlling teams. Your responsibilities include providing guidance regarding financial reports, forecast and planning activities.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Provide the team with guidance on the overall strategic picture and how their targets are aligned to it~crlf~##Drive organizational set up for the hub including team management and budget ~crlf~##Ensure that all IFRS, GAAP and statutory closing and reporting tasks related to the hub are accurate and delivered timely ~crlf~##Complete assigned postings, journal entries and account reconciliations on a periodic basis~crlf~##Align & coordinate the hub with other colleagues; foster cross-functional collaboration across the business to enhance overall business understanding~crlf~##Develop and implement standards to improve quality and actively contribute to improving and implementing global operation cycles, processes and workflows~crlf~##Monitor, analyze and communicate financial results to all stakeholders (regionally and globally): identify drivers, provide appropriate guidance and recommend solutions and actions plans ~crlf~##Effectively evaluate information from multiple sources to identify business opportunities and risks ~crlf~##Maintain regular exchange with underwriters to support daily decision making~crlf~##Interface with external auditors (e.g. KPMG) and local regulators contact in relation to financial reporting and GAC~crlf~##Manage local relationship with 3rd parties (auditors, tax authorities, public authorities, etc.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##You have a master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting ~crlf~##Locally recognized professional qualification in Accounting (e.g. CPA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred~crlf~##Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP, IAS / IFRS, Regulatory, Tax and other relevant requirements ~crlf~##Ability to generate appropriate financial reports meeting the needs of internal/external business partners and to track our performance via relevant KPIs and metrics ~crlf~##At least 5 years’ experience in insurance accounting developing and leading teams within a complex global / matrix environment~crlf~##Experience of leading change e.g., restructuring and/or integration in mature growth markets~crlf~##Ability to simplify complexity and anticipate and resolve issues before they transpire~crlf~##Proven ability to evaluate information from multiple sources to identify business issues and involve relevant stakeholders in decision making~crlf~##Ability to work in a diverse environment and under time pressure during key periods of the year~crlf~##Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively
