    The role ia a global expert/coordination position that is responsible for supporting the global facultative reinsurance strategy. Encourage others as subject matter expert to explore new ways of managing and coordinating the fac reinsurance purchasing within AGCS.   • Key Responsibilities

    ##Oversee projects to improve the data collection of the fac purchasing within AGCS. Analyze the resulting data and make strategic recommendations as to how the fac purchasing within AGCS can be improved and optimized. Oversee implementation of any such recommendations agreed by the AGCS Board.~crlf~##Analyze and evaluate the cat risk transferred to third parties through fac reinsurance and make recommendations to optimize this purchasing.~crlf~##Oversee the design, placement and ongoing support of reinsurance facility solutions within AGCS and actively help to develop new reinsurance vehicles where required.~crlf~##Liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Risk Management, Actuarial, Claims) and all oterh relevant LoBs with respect to fac placements.~crlf~##Effectively lead and develop direct reports

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Required Experience~crlf~##Reinsurance experience, ideally with familiarity with reinsurance contract wordings, and experience in pricing reinsurance (Minimum 7 to 10 years)~crlf~##Direct experience of facultative reinsurance business (Minimum 7 to 10 years)~crlf~##Project experience (certifications are a plus) (Minimum 7 to 10 years)~crlf~##Experience in senior management (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Experience of working internationally and of remotely managing and developing global teams across numerous locations (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~ ~crlf~Required Education~crlf~##Degree in Economics, Law, Engineering or appropriate discipline~crlf~##Completion of relevant professional insurance qualification~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical Skills~crlf~##Reinsurance Portfolio: manage the portfolio, monitor appropriate investments and allocate funds accordingly; analyze trends and scenario plans~crlf~##Pricing: analyze current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance~crlf~##Contract Drafting and Interpretation: design, develop and implement consistent, robust global reinsurance wordings~crlf~##Risk Reward, Underwriting and Actuarial: ability to evaluate risk reward effects of reinsurance, e.g. impact on P&L and capital position of company~crlf~ ~crlf~General Skills~crlf~##Communication & Presentation: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
