  • Job Purpose/ Role

    The Data Protection Specialist reports to the Global Data Protection Officer and drives the core operational management of Data Protection within AGCS globally. He/she provides support, guidance and advice to AGCS management, global functions, AGCS employees and the DPO Network in relation to relevant Data Protection topics with technical and/or operational impact. Special focus is on GDPR requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Management of Operational Data Protection~crlf~##Drive and be responsible for the management of Subject Access Requests, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Records of Processing and Data Breaches within AGCS and organize the handover to the DPO/DPO Network if necessary ~crlf~##Ensure that Data Breach related enquiries are handled appropriately and support business in understanding Data Protection related requirements (e.g. processes, controls) ~crlf~##Develop, maintain and improve together with the Global DPO the AGCS monitoring system for Data Protection.~crlf~ ~crlf~Reporting/ Policy Reviews~crlf~##Prepare and maintain relevant reporting on Data Protection to regulators, Allianz Group and to the AGCS Board of Management (e.g. internal or external audits, Compliance Reviews, Global Compliance Risk Assessments, RORA).~crlf~##Ensure that regular review processes for global Data Protection rules, Standards, Functional Rules and guiding principles are followed in line with internal requirements. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring timely delivery of reviewed and updated documents, ensure consistency of formats and approval by the respective bodies (Risk Committee, BoM) if necessary~crlf~ ~crlf~In-house Knowledge~crlf~##Build up in-house knowledge on AGCS processes and IT organization incl. Allianz Shared Services providers.~crlf~##Develop functional guidance on selected Data Protection topics affecting AGCS and its business worldwide such as the PIA process and database, the Subject Access Requests or the Data Breach process. ~crlf~##Organize, develop content and perform trainings for selected Data Protection topics for AGCS management, global functions, local offices worldwide and the DPO Network.~crlf~~crlf~Support the DPO Network~crlf~##Act as part of the AGCS DPO Network and central contact within the DPO Network for technical and operational aspects of GDPR and general Data Protection. Liaise with AGCS Compliance and the Allianz Data Protection Community if necessary.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Required Education and Experience~crlf~##Academic degree or comparable qualification. Professional experience of at least 3 to 5 years in data privacy, IT, re/insurance or consultancy ~crlf~##Good understanding of processes, ideally AGCS/Allianz processes. Background in business related functions, such as Claims, Operations or Underwriting is an additional asset~crlf~##Ideally process design experience and/or OPEX certified (or equal qualification).~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical Skills~crlf~##Ability to analyze/assess IT tools. Design databases and retrieve data in databases, expertise in Excel~crlf~##Ability to define, draft, implement and understand local and global business processes~crlf~##Ability to read, understand and transfer internal and external technical/operational requirements into AGCS requirements~crlf~##Very good command of English (verbal and written) and business knowledge level in German.~crlf~~crlf~General Skills~crlf~##Demonstrate strong business acumen and client service mentality~crlf~##Ability to take initiative and resolve problems autonomously~crlf~##Ability to work independently in a systematic and structured way~crlf~##Excellent communication and teaching skills.
