  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Professional loss control consultant with phenomenal communication skills, business acumen, and a desire to help Middle Market accounts reduce their loss potential through all-coverage surveys, service and consultation. Need to self-manage and prioritize their time, duties and workload to continually meet evolving customer needs and marketplace.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Develop and maintain professional working relationships with AGCS UW, Business Development, Market Management and Claims personnel along with all other co-workers, clients, and brokers~crlf~##Work cooperatively with underwriting and the client to develop customized loss control program proposals including locations to be surveyed, scope and cost of LC services~crlf~##Review, analyze, and distribute loss control reports, recommendations, and correspondence received~crlf~##Develop comprehensive year-end account summary as needed for larger service accounts and programs; summary will also outline proposed services for next policy year~crlf~##Conduct surveys and complete written reports to assess account exposures and control adequacy as well as service opportunities to help differentiate AGCS~crlf~##Identify ways AGCS can bring value to policy holders and brokers while building positive and lasting relationships

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Safety or other Engineering type discipline preferred; other discipline will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical expertise or experience in the Property and Casualty industry~crlf~##Minimum 5 years of engineering/loss control experience in Property and Casualty type insurance environment or similar other environment with similar experiences and capabilities~crlf~##Minimum 3 years of experience working with customers to provide customer service of their safety and/or insurance needs and conducting on-site surveys and reports~crlf~##Previous account coordination experience with handling of Middle Market and/or Program accounts~crlf~##Ideal experience, though not required: CSP, ASP, ARM, ALCM, engineering or other Professional designation preferred~crlf~##Demonstrate great engineering/technical expertise in Property and Casualty exposure identification as control measures~crlf~##Strong familiarity with safety or other related guidelines via nationally recognized codes and practices~crlf~##Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and underwriting processes as they relate to loss control applicability~crlf~##Strong familiarity with basic computer operation and skills highlighted in Word, Excel, and Windows email environment; familiarity with "AuSuM" a bonus~crlf~##Excellent communication skills and business acumen including written, verbal, and presentation skills to a range of customer types~crlf~##Ability to work well in a team environment
