Legal and Compliance Officer
This role will be providing proactive and reactive Legal and Compliance support for Bancassurance retail portfolio of Allianz Global & Corporate Specialty business, based in Singapore.
•~crlf~Overseeing the Bancassurance department’s general operational set up, product development and projects from a Legal and Compliance perspective~crlf~•~crlf~Ensuring communication and implementation of applicable policies and procedures within the department~crlf~•~crlf~Participating in initiatives, exercises, projects and schemes relating to the Bancassurance business ~crlf~•~crlf~To oversee and manage all compliance related matters, liaising closely with the Regional Head of Legal and Compliance , and Bancassurance Head of Department, and providing legal support and advice where necessary~crlf~•~crlf~Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved~crlf~•~crlf~Developing, maintaining and revising policies and guidelines to ensure the Company is in compliance with all necessary guidelines, regulations and legislation~crlf~•~crlf~Implement a comprehensive compliance program appropriate for the retail segment of the Company that is in compliance with local guidelines, law, regulations; and sales compliance policies/guidelines~crlf~•~crlf~Oversee the sales compliance practices of the distribution channels to detect and address any mis-selling, misrepresentation, misconduct and unethical behaviour concerns, including performing comprehensive investigation, documenting investigation results and recommendation for reporting ~crlf~•~crlf~To execute an Anti-Corruption compliance programme that is in compliant with the internal Anti-Corruption Policy requirements~crlf~•~crlf~Responsible in Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism (AML/CFT) Financing programme, which includes AML/CFT activities of performing due diligence, detecting, reporting, monitoring, training, risk assessment, AML/CFT quality assurance and sanction list screening; as appropriate and/or required~crlf~•~crlf~Implement an effective Economic Sanction Programme based on the requirements of Allianz Group Compliance Economic Sanction Policies and Standards~crlf~•~crlf~Any other duties as may be assigned by Management~crlf~•~crlf~Keeping abreast of industry developments and emerging trends, the introduction of new products/services, as well as their implications from a regulatory / compliance perspective~crlf~~crlf~
•~crlf~3-5 years of Legal and Compliance experience in retail insurers operating the Singapore Market with a legal background and relevant legal experience.~crlf~•~crlf~Experience with local regulatory requirements.~crlf~•~crlf~Strong analytical problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.~crlf~•~crlf~Proven team player and ability to work independently, establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues from different backgrounds, functions and cultures.~crlf~~crlf~
